The Morgan 4/4 is an iconic roadster from the Morgan Motor Company and is regarded as the longest-produced model in automotive history. Since its debut in 1936, it has been manufactured with only short interruptions and continues to embody the tradition of British roadster building to this day. The name “4/4” refers to its original novelty: four wheels and a four-cylinder engine – in contrast to Morgan’s earlier three-wheeler models.

With its classic design, hand-built body on an ash wood frame, and exposed fenders, the 4/4 is instantly recognizable. Over the decades, it has been fitted with a variety of four-cylinder engines – from Coventry-Climax and Ford to modern Ford Sigma and Duratec units. Despite technical updates, it has always remained true to its purist character.

Lightweight, agile, and reduced to the essentials, the Morgan 4/4 offers a unique driving experience reminiscent of the early days of motoring. It was available both as a two-seater and in four-seater versions, appealing to a broad range of customers.

With its exceptionally long production history – spanning more than eight decades – the Morgan 4/4 is today considered the epitome of a living classic. It combines timeless elegance, artisanal tradition, and pure roadster spirit in a way that makes it an automotive legend.
