Dashboards in classic and modern classic cars are difficult to restore. Heat and UV radiation cause the surface to crack and destroy the foam material underneath. New dashboards are generally unavailable, and replacing them is a real chore. A fairly inexpensive and practical solution is the repair panels we offer for a wide range of models.
These repair panels fit onto the top of the cracked dashboard and are glued across the surface. This restores a uniform appearance, halts the deterioration of the dashboard, and restores its shape and surface.
Sand down the cracks in the dashboard’s surface until you achieve a fairly even surface. The overall result depends on this preparation. Clean the top of the dashboard thoroughly. First, place the panel on top to check the fit. Once everything fits and you are satisfied with the position, adhere the panel across the entire surface using bodywork adhesive or double-sided tape.
