improved roller type
Carbon plain bearings are designed to be suitable for brief contact with the clutch release plate (e.g., when shifting gears), but they wear very quickly with prolonged, continuous contact.
As an improvement, we recommend converting to a ball-bearing clutch release bearing. Ball bearings are designed to withstand prolonged contact with the clutch and are therefore unlikely to fail if the driver keeps their foot on the clutch pedal for extended periods.
