Land Rover: 88" late Series IIA and all Series III (from January 1969 to 1985): Dual line braking system
for dual line brake system with servo. Identify by square reservoir
Never use an 88“ master cylinder with a 109“ brake system. While they may look the same, the 109“ master cylinder pumps a larger volume of fuid to work two front wheel cylinders at each front wheel.
On 88“ dual brake systems the front master cylinder outlet powers the front brakes and the rear outlet powers the rear brakes. On 109“ dual brake systems the front master cylinder outlet powers the rear brakes and the rear outlet powers the front brakes.
